When it comes to choosing the right wood for decking projects Southern Pine should be top of your list because its strength, flexibility and durability.

Independent tests carried out by TRADA Technology, the internationally recognised timber research authority, have confirmed that Southern Pine is superior to other softwoods from around the world.

As well as being strong, flexible and durable, Southern Pine also reacts exceptionally well to being treated. Preservative penetrates throughout the timber - unlike many other timbers that only allow a limited penetration of preservative. This makes end painting of sawn timber unnecessary.

These qualities are particularly appealing when considering timber for use in the British climate and Southern Pine.
